Have you been sleeping lately? My deepest hope, if you life anywhere on the planet where Januaries are dark and cold and dreary, is ... yes. So many of you have had the flu in these last weeks... "it's the season" we say, or "that's going around." But it doesn't have to go around or be caught by YOU, if you are working with your body in the season, to retain the immunities and emotional healing that you need. This January, where I live, Oregon... it's cold, it's frosty, it's dark and as you can see from the photo of the "fairy hammock" here, even the smallest spider webs are wet with fog, frozen into ice. This is not the time to push things, to be busy, to be concerned about get this and this and this and yes even THIS done. It's the time to rest. It's the time to sleep; to be quiet, to be still, and most importantly, to go to bed early, and if possible, get up late, even if it's only one day on the weekend. In sleep, we are healed. In rest, we are healed. Right now, more important than anything else you do, this season of rest needs to be acknowledged. Try it, for two days. Sink into slumber early. Take a warm bath. Turn off the TV and computer and smart phone, all distractions that exhaust us in their addiction, and just crawl gratefully under those covers an hour, two hours early. Sink into your dreams, and be informed by what is revealed to you there. When we allow rest, we allow healing. When we allow dreams, we allow the Universe to come to us in ways that are miraculous, Divine and extraordinary. Allow this for the next two days, and notice how much better you feel, how much better your life seems. In rest, we are made whole. Much love, SARA Comments are closed.
