Manifesting our reality, mean doing what we want to do later, now.
It’s as simple as that.
If you want to paint full time and quit your day job, the most important thing you can do is find time to paint every day, and expand the amount of time you are painting.
If you want to write full time and quit your day job, the most important thing you can do is find time to write every day, and expand the amount of time you are writing.
If you want to lose weight and inhabit a fit, youthful body, the most important thing you can do now is find time to shift your nutrition and your exercise, and to expand the amount of time you are in healthy lifestyle.
If you put your intention and your action into something, the Universe will see that that is where your energy is going, and that’s what will happen.
Do what you want to do later, now.
And the Universe will anchor or attach that reality to you, and that’s what will happen.

One of the common signs of spiritual awakening or the opening to a new level, is the feeling of electricity in the hair, or the feeling that spirits are gently touching or moving your hair.
Lately, I’ve been having this sensation for about a month, along with some other big sleep changes (waking up every night in the Amrit Vela, and writing and meditating for several hours while the house sleeps).
There are others signs too, in addition to the crown chakra, and the waking every night. There is a kind of manic creativity, not just an urge to write and create, but a new sustained energy and clarity that allows or permits or even demands that the information come through me.
I have been through these passages before; I recognize the signs. When we are opening, we always open bigger than the last time; we walk through bigger doors of understanding.
It gets harder to be in the regular world, after walking through a few of these doors!
If you are experiencing these signs of spiritual awakening, relax, breathe and don’t worry. You’re fully supported by the Universe.
After all, this is your life destiny as soul: awakening to further conciousness.

We’re all given the same amount of time in a day. But you might notice that some people have a knack for inhabiting their time, in a way that creates really interesting experiences.
For example, one person might get up at the last alarm, go to work, come home and spend the evening watching TV.
Another person, with the exact same job, might get up early to meditate, stop by a class or community event or go for a run or visit a friend or work on art after work.
The person who is having more interesting experiences, not just now and then, but daily, is actually the person who is enjoying his or her life more.
You might not be able to quit your day job; you might also not be able to slack on family responsibilities after work. But somewhere in there, are some precious hours that you can call your own, to do what interests you, what you feel passionate about, that will carry you forward to the next day in joy.
And you know: the more you live as if, the more the Universe moves to shift your life to that reality permanently.

There’s a lot of talk about going the distance: setting your own personal records, being your best self, making the grade, and so forth.
I think this is all very important, with one distinction: you want to make sure you’re pushing your own edge, not an edge that someone else chose for you.
Someone else’s edge might be starting a company, or writing a book, or running a marathon, or traveling the world. Your edge might be any of those, but it also might be entirely, completely different.
Maybe for you, these aren’t edges.
Maybe your edge is needing to learn a language fluently, or do a photography project, or volunteer at a charity.
It’s not important that you do what every one else is doing.
What’s important, is seeing what fascinates you in this world: the strange, the unusual, the geeky, the unpopular, the odd, the fascinating.
If there’s something that you find so fascinating and interesting that you can’t imagine not doing it, or you can’t imagine being bored with it, that’s your edge.

A false positive is something that looks positive at first glance, but late turns out to be not positive at all.
For example, you might know someone who’s always talking about Love & Light, or who is always speaking positively, even when things are going very badly. Or maybe you know someone who’s always using positive affirmations, or using positivity as a method of manifesting.
It’s not that positivity is bad.
It’s just that being real is better.
When we allow our feelings to be what they are, even when we’d really prefer to not look at that yucky, swirling mess of chaos and confusion... Well, allowing of discomfort as a real response, is much better than showing up as false positive.
Our real feelings, that feels that are hidden under false positives, will always lead us in the right direction.
Learning to show up to what's real is a hard task; it's hard to look at our true feelings, because they often show us a view that we’d rather not see. For example: maybe we're positive about our work in public, but underneath it we’re angry at how little we're being paid. Maybe we're positive about our relationship in public, but our stomach hurts whenever we're with our partner. Maybe we're positive about a health condition, but underneath we're really afraid.
We all have our stuff, underneath it all.
If you can resist the urge to be positive, and instead walk the hero's path of looking at what is, you will begin to uncover what is really going on. In this way, you can do your inner work more quickly and more completely.

There are many practices that use sound therapy to raise vibration and create resonance and healing in the body. Different frequencies from instruments such as crystal bowls, singing bowls and so forth, are very effective.
However, all music shifts vibration, and this can be up... or down.
When we understand the power of music to raise us up or take us down, open us to Light or send us to dark, we begin to listen more carefully.
Any kind of music that creates chaos, a sense of violence or a sense of fear, whether this is rap, heavy metal, angry rock, classical music that is imperialistic, military or propaganda based; all of this is designed to have our minds attach to the music, and not be able to leave it.
In this way, low vibration music can be used for mind control: it is a way of taking the looping mind, and having the mind attach to the music. This of course is why this kind of music: loud pounding beats at sports arenas or military parades or shopping malls or clubs, is so effective at controlling group thought.
However, we can also choose music that allows the mind to relax, that creates a spaciousness in the body, that creates states of high holy, bliss, Flow, euphoria.
The dark, or the light. Choose carefully, what you listen to.
There is more to music that we can yet understand. Its power to shift us is clear.

We often think that meditation or trance or breathing techniques are what lift vibration fastest, but these aren’t the only ways.
Whenever we move rhythmically, or through space, or against gravity, we quickly shift into Nowness.
You can be fully in Now and not awake, such as running while thinking thoughts of self loathing or listening to angry rock anthems, for example. But if you have compassion for yourself, when you enter into high vibration through movement, you experience Nowness in your body.
This is pure delight for the soul!
Not just to use the body, but to delight in it, to enjoy it! Your vibration both soars and grounds, and you experience euphoria as an embodied state.
When we move rhymthcially, such as walking, running, rowing, dancing, our bodies entrain to that rhythm and this takes us into trance.
When we move through space, such as skiing, surfing, hiking, our bodies orient to no orientation, and this takes us into trance.
When we push against gravity, such as weight lifting or Cross Fit, our body says "Here I am!" and this gives the mind a break for a while; our body exists in Nowness, and we enter a high vibration state that is also trance.
If you are having trouble with a sitting mediation, try exercise: anything vigorous will do. Better yet, do both, as part of your daily practice: moving meditation, and sitting meditation. Say "Here I am" in all ways.

A lot of empaths are addicts.
By addicts, I don’t necessarily mean alcohol, recreational drugs and prescription drugs, although these are of course common. It could be anything: running, yoga, exercise, porn, sex, shopping, food, the need to be busy, the need for drama.
As an empath, you feel everything, and there’s no way to stop this sensitivity: it’s just who you are. All the feelings and emotions of other people and all other Universes of energy, plants, objects, places and so forth, are always arriving to you. And so, one of the ways to temporarily stop this information from permeating your Self, is to distract yourself with an addiction.
Alcohol or drugs or food, for example, shift your vibration higher or lower, depending on the substance. This takes you out of empath mode, into a mode where you’re not as aware. With addictions that are exercise based, as another example, exertion releases endorphins that bring euphoria, which again takes us away from feeling all the world’s pain.
Now, exercise is a great tool for empaths, but when we start to use it too much, it becomes a distraction, just like anything else. For many empaths, meditation can also be a distraction: we go into bliss state, and we never want to come back out!
If you are an empath using habits as distraction, or as a way to lift you from the pain of everything, consider that there is another way.
Instead of numbing, you can open.
Instead of blocking, you can surrender.
In other words, you can use your empathic nature to open to everything. It is a different approach, and it is scary at first.
But when you open to love, Oneness and yourself as soul, your experience changes.

In old episodes of Star Trek, there was a character called the Empath, whose job on board the ship was to feel and sense and see everything about a given situation.
On the show, the Empath had to go into deep concentration, and put her hands to her temples and say things like “I’m getting something" or "I sense something."
Oh, if it were only so easy!
For most of us, being an empath isn’t something we can switch on, or off. It’s an openness in our being that allows us to take in the feelings and emotions of others. And by others, that doesn’t mean just human others; it means animals, plants, building, places, even time spans.
When you are an empath, you feel everything, and there aren’t too many ways to shut this constant stream of feeling information off.
Thus, if someone lies to you, but you feel the truth, you are left in confusion about what is real. If someone tells you shopping is “fun” but when you go shopping you feel every little thing: all the feelings of the people in the crowds, all the contained feeling of all the merchandise, who made it and where it came from....it can feel overwhelming.
And so when you come home miserable and exhausted, you might think something is wrong with you. But there’s nothing wrong with you. You just haven’t been given the vocabulary, the identity, that helps you understand what you experience.
There are lots of empaths in this world. We're all feeling it all, all the time.

All children have gifts; there is no child who is not uniquely blessed with some understanding, some consciousness, some deep creative self.
If you find that you have a creatively gifted child, it is important to look at your own life, as an example to this child. For example, if your child is exquisitely sensitive and having trouble at school, you will want to look at your own experience of school, and how you dealt with that.
Modern school, for the most part, isn't very good for kids: it's fear and group thought at the very worst, with no room for expression and individuality. School has been this way for many decades.
However, what creative, gifted and sensitive children really need is time and space to inhabit their rich fantasy life, to connect with nature in a personal way, and to day dream. When you provide your child only with electronica, dry academics and teaching to tests, you are starving that children from what he or she truly needs.
The gifted child must have the downtime, the free time, to wander around in the woods, spread out in the home, create art, listen to music, have fantasy, be with animals, day dream.... all of these are the markers of an enriched creative and spiritual life.
If you believe your child is gifted, give your child more space, more free time, more downtime. Provide it for yourself, as well.
We dream and manifest these lives that are full of abundance and meaning, and this is a good thing.
But a funny thing happens when you begin to experience the life you were really hoping for. Most of the things that you thought you wanted, drop away.
Instead, you find that what you really wanted, even more than money and riches, or a certain place to live, or a certain style of living, or certain experiences, is really just a quality of spaciousness to your day.
It's the experience of being unhurried, unperturbed, un-hasselled; a quality of being able to experience time as Flow, in most of your day.
This is what the monks sought, when they went into seclusion: the quiet and the peace and the space where time would begin to Flow in a new way; an attention to prayer and stillness and quiet, so that spaciousness becaume the way they were living, experiencing each moment as Now.
As you consider how you really want to live, consider spaciousness as one of the qualities that you seek.
After all, when you are in Flow, you are in joy.

Our most advanced scientists are working on Oneness.
Quantum physics, unified field, the God particle. There are scientific terms, but when we look at these theories in terms of spirituality, of Oneness, of the idea that everything is One all the time, we understand that what we're working on is way more than just science.
Maybe we don’t have the science yet to prove Oneness; but we have glimpsed it. Maybe we don’t have the spirituality yet to prove Oneness; but we have glimpsed it. We know Oneness is there, because it’s so clear we are not separate; we feel this in every atom of our selves.
All of our experiences are part of unified field: the way we connect with each other in energy and emotion, without needing to be in the same place, or even the same time. There are too many coincidences, too much "random," that simply isn't.
Above all, there is too much energy, emotion and unexplained phenomenon for us to not all be connected to each other, intimately, completely, without separation. Some things are beyond math and science, some things are beyond language.
We know we are One, because every cell in us knows, and because our own soul tells us, over and over and over again, whenever we let ourselves be awake.

If you were raised on fairy tales, you were given a gift.
Depending on where you live in the world, there are fairy and folk tales that offer moral lessons, warnings against evil or darkness. There are also tales that invite us to think more creatively about our circumstances, and to not accept what the society or group thought would have us believe.
Many of these tales involve a young hero who must do a challenging task. Our hero usually meets a wise person, a beggar, a witch or an elemental, who gives them gifts with magic properties, or who advises them how to communicate with the Universe.
For example, if the hero is charged to find a precious ring that has been thrown into a field of flowers, the her or she simply speaks to the ants of the field, and they quickly find the ring. Or, if the hero is charged to clean a filthy hut, the birds of the air quickly come and do the task.
What we are taught then, is two stories: the first story, which that each hero is on a quest; each hero must walk a path. But under this is the second story: the recognition of nature as an ally, nature as magic, the world as a Universe that is something that we are not apart from. This second story teaches us that there are many beings that we can communicate with directly, both on this plane, and in the plane of multi-dimension, the etheric realms.
Of course, there's nothing fantastic tale about this! Living in multi-dimension is as real as death and taxes. It is all simply a matter of opening your mind, and awakening to this reality.

When we use the clairvoyant “rose” as a technique, people are surprised why it works so well.
The rose is of course not really a rose. It’s an energetic container of Universal energy. When we look at this container, it provides us with a symbolic understanding of the energy of the person, relationship, situation or future outcome we are asking about.
Using the rose as a tool allows us to have a certain distance from our own first response to a situation; it helps us let our own judgments, hopes and dreams relax. By looking at the rose, instead of directly at the person or situation we are reading, we are invited to look at the energy or the vibration or the emotion of who or what we are reading.
We are invited to look at the person or situation as a container of energy; as a container of Oneness.
For example, if a person has very dark energy but a beautiful façade, using the rose allows us to see the energy, without getting distracted by the façade.
If we were to try to read directly from this person, we might get all caught up in our own feelings about beauty or attractiveness. But when we use the rose as an energetic stand-in, as a symbolic representation of the energetic essence of the situation, we are able to read clearly.

If you practice spiritual intuition, you will learn how to see the future for others and for yourself.
In many instances, you will be able to vision the future for others in your mind’s eye. For yourself, you will either be able to see the future in your mind’s eye, or have a direct knowing that arrives in meditation.
This sense of knowing the future is to be respected, and understood.
One of the best ways of understanding it is to see the future as pearls on a string, the same way we might see units of time from past to present as tiny incremental experiences.
When we look at the future, we jump from Now, to the next future Now, and look at what’s there.
Of course we have have the ablity to shift this picture! What our view shows us, is what will be happenind of all things move along at the same trajectory.
If we shift our actions, our trajectory changes.
Thus if you are moving along a path of great chaos and destruction, your trajectory will give you one future. And if you shift your behavior to serenity and light, the outcome will be different.
We are always offered the option of moving toward greater joy, love and Light.

As we all know, Dorothy set off on the Yellow Brick Road wearing her ruby slippers, trying to get home.
Sometimes people focus on the idea that Dorothy needed to battle the witch, and that this tale was about good vs. evil.
But I like to think of Dorothy as a pioneer in Nowness; she had everything she needed all the time, right on her feet.
She was always home, even when she was in Oz.
You can go home any time too, just by clicking your heels, or as we might put it in meditative terms, by closing your eyes, taking the deep breath, and connecting to the infinite.
We always have this ability; in fact, it can’t ever be taken from us; this ability to take the breath, enter in to Divine space, and simply be in peace, and comfort, and home.
Dorothy didn’t learn this until the end of her journey. We can understand it Now: you can go home again, over and over and over, as many times as you like.
You may choose to battle apple-throwing trees, fields of popples and flying monkey, but you don’t have to. Home is always within you.
We often think that we’ll be happy later, when we reach a certain point in our ambition or achieve certain goals.
But actually, we can only be happy Now.
In other words, the future is enchanting to think about, but it’s really a mirage.
And yes, we can head toward it holding it in our vision, thinking that once we get to that oasis, all will be well, we can rest the camel and have some water and go for a meal at the inn.
But in reality, the mirage isn't our life.
Life is where we are Now.
Thus, we don’t have to slog toward the mirage, pretending everything around us is just dry desert. We can let go of the mirage, and look around us in astonishment, to find that we’re not in a dry desert at all!
We're in rich lives, with bodies and imaginations and many, many ways to connect with each other and with our world.
Mirage means illusion. To let go of all illusions and just be where we are, is a courageous act.
And it's the only way to get happiness; to stop seeking it, and see it’s already here.

When we are first having a lot of contact with our spirit guides, we begin to become infused with the Divine.
We go from being quite human in our understanding, to living from our soul: we start to understand that we are soul first, human second, even though our job is to be in both worlds at once.
We become more Divine, every time we are in communication or communion with our spirit guides, and their energetic expression of the Universe/God/one/All.
It’s interesting to experience how one little drop of the Divine can make so much difference: one meditation session, one "entering in." And how that little drop can raise us from mostly human to mostly soul, in any given situation.
One drop more, to shift the balance from mundane to Divine, in any situation.
One drop more of this sweetest nectar, as easy to get as closing your eyes, taking a deep breath, and asking to receive.

Upon our arrival into this world, we are given a body to live in, and a personality to move us forward.
You might think of the car we ride in as the body, the driver as the personality, and the soul in the back of the limo, directing it from there.
Some of us have very snappy, motivated, directed personality/drivers.
Some of us are more reticent, afraid.
Some of us are going to take all kinds of risks, shortcuts, while others will abide by the posted speed limit.
There are all kinds of drivers!
The thing is to make friends with your personality, your driver. To not wish for another driver! But to be content and happy and pleased with exactly the driver you’ve been given.
This amazing trifecta of body, personality and soul is yours for this lifetime; it’s an unique combination designed to take you to your destiny, to your particular lessons of soul growth.
So don’t spend any time fighting with your personality, or not liking it, or wishing you were different. Accept this is part of the plan. Get in the car, and let your driver drive you, in the exact perfect way you are meant to be driven.

If you frequentliy surround yourself with white light or wear a crystal or amulet as a means of protection, consider what you are doing.
So often we think that if we surround ourselves with white light, or wear a certain talisman, we are protecting ourselves from outside forces of darkness. We think we are applying a protective coating on our auras, or creating a circle of protection that we are safe inside.
These are old ideas, that bring up old superstitions of dark and light, of the idea that we are vulnerable to darkness at any time.
It is true, that darkness is real.
But it is also true that our own soul, as it leans toward the Light, is source of true power and protection and strength against all darkness, no talisman or extra circle of protection needed.
As you meditate, as you pray, as you are with your guides as spiritual practice, you will understand what it means to lean toward the Light every day, and you won't have use for the old superstitions, the old ideas about punishment and pain and fear.
We’re all Light, all the time.
We can remember this, and carry this knowing and power with us.

If you have a lot of dysfunction in your family, but you keep going back for more, you might consider giving yourself a breather.
There are families where the dysfunction is so bad, such as with abuse or addiction, that the ties need to be broken. It’s too damaging to see those family members again.
But there are other families, where it’s just very emotional and dramatic and painful, and in these cases, it’s a matter of working through it, over time. That's where your soul growth happens.
However, working through it doesn’t mean every day, always.
If you find that you are working through your feelings about your father, your mother, your siblings, whoever it is, and you’ve reached a place where it’s just very confusing and difficult, consider taking a break from contact with them, for awhile.
Take a breather, and re-assess.
This freedom will allow you to see that you are not permanently bound to them for life; even with relatives, it is always our choice to spend our time with them, or not.
Allowing yourself a break will help you gain perspective, and this will show you if you need more boundary, or more compassion, in going forward with your healing.
It’s very easy to get attached to our ennui, our angst, even if things are going pretty well.
• Sometimes we have a more melancholic personality.
• Sometimes the colder, darker weather brings it on.
• Sometimes the friends we are with find it fashionable to be a little bit emo.
• Sometimes we are using substances such as alcohol and drugs, that dampen down our normally more sunny and active personalities.
If we start to wallow in our sadness, in our melancholy, we waste a lot of time in our precious live. If we start to give in to the grey or even dark energy of dissatisfactions, complaining, feeling nothing is right, this can be a dangerous spiral.
There are ways to bring yourself up, and ways to bring yourself down, and it can be as simple as adjusting the chemical balance of your body. If you eat junk food, watch too much TV, never exercise, use substances, and stay up way too late, you’re going to feel sad. If you eat clean food, meditate and get into nature, excerise, have a clean lifestyle, and sleep when you need to, you’re going to feel energized and calm, for the most part.
Sadness can be fun for a day or two, but as a lifestyle choice, it is a way of lving numb.
It is your choice, as to how you live, every single day.
