At last, I have time to share with you some of my experiences on the Beyond Words pilgrimage to Sacred Egypt!
We arrived in the heat and chaos that is Cairo, and spent our first night in the tranquil oasis that is the Mena Hotel. As you can see, the great pyramids were directly behind us, and their energy was so intense, so elevated, we immediately felt buzzing, high, transcendent. We couldn't sleep or settle down. It was impossible to shut our third eyes. We flipped into spontaneous past lives. We met soul mates at every turn. Cairo is a jolt to "new" American energy. The city was founded in AD 969, but its history is much older. It's been known as Memphis, Heliopolis, Babylon-in-Egypt, Al-Fustat, Al-Qataei, Al-Askar and more by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, and Turks. So it's ancient. But it's also FILLED with people: 20 million souls! And this is just the living people—there are millions more departed souls floating on every street and alley and dimension. I took a cab through Cairo one memorable afternoon—the trip was a non-stop river of souls driving and honking and walking and selling things, in all the lanes all at once, not a traffic light in sight. Everyone just flowed—wildly, intutively, as One. At first I was afraid. And then I let that go. I let myself sink into this buzzy, wild, beautiful energy, the chaos and clamor and grace that is here, and just be a part of it all. Of course, we don't have to travel to Cairo or anywhere else to experience this. We're all part of everything, all the time. Much love, SARA Comments are closed.
