How do you describe yourself?
Most people, when asked who they are, will immediately answer with their relationship roles: • I'm a daughter or son • I'm a mother or father • I'm a spouse or partner Or they'll respond with their roles: • I work for this company • I work in this field • I hold this degree • My gift is this Or they'll respond with still other ways of holding identity, including age, gender, orientation, race, education, culture, nationality and more. All these ways of seeing ourselves as different from each other! When of course we are all the same. As souls, we've had so many past lives together, playing out so many different roles. After a while in your own evolution, you realize the roles aren't important, and identities aren't a big deal. Our essence is the key. Our core is what matters. The non-wavering, infinite part of us is what we are here to explore and understand. Differences are just illusion. We're all the same. Much love, SARA

Many animals are in the midst of hibernation for winter.
Bears for example, will go into hibernation in September and October, and not emerge until April. They enter into a suspended state, and will not resume their normal activity until six months later—half their year is spent in this deep state of rest. Plants have also begun their deep withdrawal, going dormant or underground, waiting for spring. Why is it then, that PEOPLE feel the need to get EXTRA active in winter? With bustle and shopping and busyness? As if they are fighting off every suggestion or craving or need to rest, with more and more activity? When did we become afraid of the dark, the night, the stillness? What if we let ourselves rest? What if we let ourselves get still? What if we allowed ourselves to go dormant? The season ahead is a time when we are meant to regroup, regather, recharge. It is a time for processing the year we've had already, and for sorting and sifting through what we will keep, and what we will leave behind when the new year comes. If you allow yourself to rest, you will not be disappointed. Much love, SARA It doesn't matter how you celebrate Thanksgiving.
If you sit down to a meal with family, wonderful. If you cook up a turkey dinner, great. But if you don't do anything traditional at all, that's also great. The day can be whatever you want it to be. There is no right way. I myself love non-traditional holidays. For me, on Thanksgiving, the most important thing is to remember to be thankful, which I am. I am grateful for my family. I am grateful for all of you. I am grateful to do this work. I am grateful to live in this world. I am grateful to experience the Mystery. What are you grateful for? It is a wonderful thing to say your graitudes, outloud, right now. That way, we can all hear each other. Much love, SARA |
