In modern life, people think it’s hard to be spiritually connected. Yet this isn’t so.
Spiritual connection isn’t something that has to happen in a certain way, at certain time of day or for a certain length of time. It’s not a struggle! It’s true, there are beautiful formal practices, and many people love these. But it is also okay to simply live spiritual connection as your way of being. We can enter into to Divine space anywhere. We can look around us and become filled with gratitude anytime. Our connection with the God/One/All/Divine/Universe/Source is always with us, because we are also that. As you move through the holidays, in whatever way you are celebrating or not celebrating, simply hold this as key: the Divine always with you. Within you. Without you. As you. As everything. No separation, ever. Much love, SARA The Universe has a very specific language that it uses to communicate with us.
We can learn this language, when we seek to meditate, when we spend time in nature, when we follow synchronicities, and when we allow ourselves to have peak experiences. All of these are ways the Universe speaks to us. If you are having trouble recognizing Spirit in your life, it can be useful to let go of the idea that Spirit will come in a certain way, or bring a certain desired result. Instead, just notice what’s happening when you’re meditating, in nature, when you notice a coincidence, when you experience bliss. All of these are ways Spirit is talking to you. Much love, SARA We have this tendency to label something as “good” or something as “bad.”
But in reality, if there were no challenges to work through, we wouldn’t grow very much. The “bad” things are like the stone in our shoe that keeps irritating us as we walk on our path: it bothers us and bothers us and bothers us, until we finally stop, take off our shoe and take a long, hard look at the problem. When we look at the problem, instead of avoiding it, we get clear. This is where growth happens. If we are in the middle of a rough patch, where there is a lot of pain, chaos, drama—maybe we need to look at how we are approaching our lives, maybe we need to make changes. Or sometimes we’re very present in our lives, and bad things happens anyway. Why is this? The soul answer is that everything is a lesson that moves us to greater expansion. Everything is an opportunity to expand further in our understanding. And yet the human answer is that it’s very hard to be grateful when bad things happen. If you can’t find gratitude at the moment, just feel what you feel. It is enough to be authentic for now. When, over time, you look back and recognize the lesson you were being taught, the gratitude will come of its own accord. Much love, SARA |
