Whenever we experience a lot of adrenaline, we get energized, manic, on fire.
And then, after the event or incident or idea that caused that adrenaline surge plays out, we experience the opposite—what goes up, must come down. If you are feeling somewhat "blah" right now, or like you can't get your energy together, or like you just want to curl up in a little nest, it can be useful to recall what we've all just gone through. The election has been a very big energy surge. We are still feeling the effects. Whether you participate or didn't, voted or didn't, cared or didn't—the energy still affects you. We all, as part of collective soul are affected. Now, what most of us are feeling—is the dropping away of that energy. Even if your side "won" (remembering that one side can't win until both sides win), you're still feeling it. The adrenaline surge is over. Perhaps, if we are very lucky, the cycle has been broken. We're back to real life, whatever that is. Will things get better? Will things get worse? These are not the questions to be asking, today. For today, what's most important is to let yourself feel what everyone is feeling: hitting the wall, needing to rest and recover. The world will wait for you. Today is a good day to be still. Much love, SARA

Is it important for spiritual people to be political?
I think so. After all, how else can we support the things we believe in? In my case, I believe in human rights, animals rights, ecological rights—I believe we have the responsibility to protect each other and to be stewards of the planet, so that this great experience that is life can continue. I also believe in cooperation, respect, all voices being heard, and working in non-violent ways to achieve consensus. No hate, no fear, no battle, no war. Just all of us understanding our infinite interdependence upon each other—as humans and as souls. I also believe it is the spiritual person's responsibility to vote, to speak up for what he or she believes. We are not here to hide out in a cave meditating. We are not here to work soley on our own healing. We are here to reach out and help each other. Our journey, as collective soul, is to evolve. We are doing that slowly or quickly, with difficulty or with ease—but we are evolving. If you haven't voted yet, please use this privilege. If you have voted already, thank you. If you missed out, please visit www.vote.org to get registered for next time. It's so easy! Much love, SARA As we move through life, we tend to get more steady.
Not always, of course. But over time, many of us figure out the practical requirements of life, and we start to stabilize. We know what we like, what we're good at, and we have a pretty clear idea of who we are—or at the very least, we know who we are NOT. But even in steady times, change is happening. We might be the ones to initate the change—to move or end a relationship or start a new job or head off on a grand adventure. Or the Universe might step in and make the change for us. This kind of change is not as easy—but it is no less valuable. We are not meant to hide out. We are meant to grow, to have new experiences, to expand who we are. When you accept that change is natural, inevitable and the way of things, it gets easier to appreciate change as an adventure and a surprise. Much love, SARA |
