As we move through life, we tend to get more steady. 

Not always, of course. But over time, many of us figure out the practical requirements of life, and we start to stabilize.

We know what we like, what we're good at, and we have a pretty clear idea of who we are—or at the very least, we know who we are NOT.

But even in steady times, change is happening.

We might be the ones to initate the change—to move or end a relationship or start a new job or head off on a grand adventure. 

Or the Universe might step in and make the change for us. This kind of change is not as easy—but it is no less valuable. 

We are not meant to hide out. We are meant to grow, to have new experiences, to expand who we are. 

When you accept that change is natural, inevitable and the way of things, it gets easier to appreciate change as an adventure and a surprise. 

When I first started doing this work, I used to get nervous around Halloween. 

I was afraid that the spirit world would somehow become more "activated" on October 31, or that spirits would be summoned forth.

I used to think that when Halloween rolled around, there was something extra spooky in the air—a different kind of energy because the veil between worlds had suddenly become thin.

But the truth is, the spirit world is always with us.

The veil isn't thinner on Halloween—it's thin everyday, because there is no veil.
Or more precisely, the only veil is the one that exists in our minds. 

If you think of the spirit world as existing in energy dimensions—what I call layers and levels—you start to understand that there are infinite layers and levels of vibration.

For example, we can easily sense the energy vibration of people, animal, nature, objects, places and also Guides, Angels and the Departed. But there are many more energy dimensions that we can't even recognize.

All of these energy vibrations exist simultaneously, in the same place. In other words, everything in the spirit world is happening right with us, all the time.

​We just don't have the ability to sense it all. 

As you celebrate Halloween, remember: if the spirit world seems more active, it's simply because you're paying more attention.  It's always active, because the veil doesn't exist. 

The people we love are with us forever. 

We arrive as souls, and we are destined to meet those same souls we've worked with many times before. Our family, friends, lovers.

When the karma is sticky—when there is conflict in our relationships—this is a sign that we have more work to do together. 

When the relationship is easy, delightful and joyous—this is a sign that we are working through advanced level soul lessons, that we have been together many times before, and that our connection will continue, lifetime after lifetime. 

When you are able to communicate with your Departed loved ones, the most immediate understanding does not always come in words or messages. What is key is the emotion that is transferred—a palpable energy of love, comfort and the absolute recognition of this person as soul. 

It is beautiful, and it is forever. 

Around this time of the year we start to think of spirits as spooky or even scary. But what is truly real is the love we have for others. This is infinite. 

Some of you have been able to see spirit folk since you were children. By spirit folk, I mean Guides, Angels—and also the Departed.

Others of you might have this gift opening for you now. And perhaps you'd like to know how to do it safely. 

There is a lot of confusion about what it means to connect with the Departed, and this stems from past mediumship systems, such as seances, where people would call up "random" Departed—people who have crossed over who we don't know.

Working this way can be a tricky, and can invite all kinds of sticky or even unpleasant energy into your life. It's not a system I recommend. 

However, there are also ways of doing mediumship that are safe. Where, with the assistance of our Guides, we can create an energetic boundary so that only our loved ones come in. 

It can be so very lovely to connect with grandparents, parents, children, relatives and dear friends from beyond the veil.

In these connections, the heart leads—we can palpably feel the love between us, everytime we connect in this way. 

When you remember that the we come around together again and again, you can trust that we are never parted. This connection is not only safe, but beautiful. 

Sometimes we enter stretches of time in which we don't know what's going to happen next. 

Maybe nothing seems stable.
Maybe our identity is dissolving.
Maybe we're experiencing loss. 
Maybe everything has fallen apart.
Or, perhaps all of these at once. 

The markers of this situation may include: 

• You are aware change is happening around you
• You are aware you are changing
• You can't see what's ahead 

It's easy to fall into fear when the ground is rocking beneath you and you can't get your footing. It's easy to be uncertain if you are used to using your psychic abilities to read the future, and you suddenly can't see clearly. 

However, if you can look at transition as expansion, you will have more patience as it happens. 

It is normal to change. 
It is normal to have things change around us. 
When we accept that change is always the reality, we move through it more easily. 

Have you ever wanted to connected with the Departed?  

Like you, I'm not very interested in connecting with unknown or random entities.
But I do deeply long to connect with the people I really love and cherish—my father, my grandparents on both sides, some very dear friends. 

You probably have people you miss too, that you would love to communicate with beyond the veil. The thing is, anyone can learn how to make this connection! 

You can learn to work this way—safely and with protection—so that you can communicate with your Beloved departed—the dear family and friends who have crossed over. 

It is enormously comforting to have this connection, and it arrives to most people quickly and easily. Many of you will discover that you are "naturals" in this particular realm. 

There are so many ways to work in this realm—as an intuitive, channel, clairvoyant, shaman, medium, healer, more. Whenever we work in love, there is always more love waiting for us.
