    Can you let yourself change?

    Picture
Part of becoming spiritually awake means letting yourself evolve.

You're not who you were as a kid.
You're not who you were 14 years ago.
You're not who you were last month.
    You're who you are Now.

As a Divine human, you are in a state of continual change and growth—always expanding in your understanding of yourself as soul.

And all this chaos in the world?
It's hear to teach us soul lessons.
How you approach the chaos, is where you find your lesson.

Each of us is here to experience our true essence—who we really are as souls.

Part of this process means we must sift and sort through our beliefs, our emotions,  the way we respond from mind/ego/personality—over and over again.

Not just once, at workshop or retreat.
But as a continual practice of soul growth.

As chaos swirls around us all, it is a wonderful time to recommit to your soul inquiry, and take yet another look at who you are now.

How can we detach from chaos?

    Picture
There is a lot of chaos swirling around us.
But that doesn't mean we have to connect to it.

If you don't know what to do, do nothing.
If you don't know what to think, think nothing.
If the uproar is too much for you, detach.
If you are feel overwhelmed, relax.

One thing that is good to remember: all of us have done this dance many times before.
We've seen this cycle of chaos in many past lives.
    We've worked through karma then.
And we'll work through karma now.

If you are feeling angry, depressed, numbed or anxious, now is an excellent time to detach from chaos by doubling down on your spiritual practice:

    * Meditate
    • Pray
    • Journal
    • Walk
    • Workout
    • Sleep
    • Bathe
    • Love

If you don't know what to do or think, just breathe.
    In through the nose.
    Out through the mouth.
    Ten times.

    Remember yourself as soul.

Working out our SHADOWS in public.

    Picture
In the past decade—since the internet and social media became part of every day—you may have noticed an uptick in people working out their KARMA in a very public way.

Politicians, royalty, actors, models, atheletes, business owners are just a few of the categories.

Everyone seems to be doing their SHADOW work.
What's been hidden is being revealed.

The thing is, this LEVEL of this public display is a new experience for us. Yes, there have been magazines and television for decades—but this onslaught of information streaming into our very phones—this is only the last ten years.

So, what does it mean to witness this level of karma?

When you start to undersand karma as "soul lessons learned over time", it can help.

You disagree with the shadow behavior, if there is one.
But you also understand the process.
Because what is really happening, when a person is so very publically working on karma in front of the world, is that this soul is learning a soul lesson.

The lesson is provided by the Universe.

If you don't feel need to work your karma out on the world stage, that's great. It also probably means a lot less suffering for you. However we all have karma. Nobody's exempt from soul lessons—it's why we're here.

And finally, a thought to ponder as you reflect on everything going on right now:
The more advanced you are, the more subtle your soul lessons will be.

For the EMPATH who FEELS everything.

    Picture
The last few years have been incredibly difficult to deal with if you are an EMPATH, which all of you are.

    Why is this so?

It's not about which political side you're on.
What it's really about, is the overwhelm that comes from our CONNECTION.

The internet and social media have made us AWARE of our interconnection.
In the past, we didn't know what everyone was thinking every moment of the day.
Now, it's in the comments section.

The thing is, our interconnection has always been there.
We're just becoming conscious of it.

This can very hard to manage emotionally, when collective soul is doing such vigorous SHADOW work, as it is now.

Right now, if you are FEELING everything, it can be confusing and overwhelming to sort out how to respond.

Should you be angry and enraged?
    Compassionate and peaceful?
    Hopeless and depressed?
    Something else?
What is the spiritual response to everything that's going on?
Is there a way to stop this SENSITIVITY?

If you can accept that you are part of ONE, and that we are all together—even the people who you might be in disagreement with—it can open a window out of overwhelm.

We are One, and we are growing.
Growing pains can be very hard.
    Shadow work is very hard.
We must do this, personally and collectively, in order to evolve.

    Become a spiritual warrior—as a woman.

    Picture
As we experience the influence of the Aries Full Moon, it's pretty clear—we've awakened our collective Spiritual Warrior—and in this particular cultural and political time frame, the battle is about the rights of women.

If you've been born a woman in this lifetime, you've probably experienced:

    • Misogyny
    • Unequal pay
    • Unequal opportunities
    • Old boys networks
    • Rape culture
    • Incest
    • Violence
    • Blaming the victim
    • Shaming the victim
    • Not being believed

I know that many of you reading this right now, have experienced sexual violence in your life. I am one of you.

If you haven't experienced this, consider yourself extraordinarily fortunate. I invite you to open your heart to hold compassion for those who have.

    So, what happens now?

If you've been or are being victimized, maybe you're ready to tell someone. You can tell a friend or a sympathetic family member. If you fear you might be in danger, you can contact www.rainn.org for resources.

To be spiritual does not mean to be passive.
We are meant to be active participants in our lives.
We are meant to stand for each other.

Finally, although this post is about women, all kinds of people in this world have been marginalized. We are all part of collective soul.

The Aries FULL MOON awakens us to battle.

    Picture
As we open to the ARIES FULL MOON, you might be feeling angry, aggressive, even filled with rage. You might be feeling:

    • Anger at the chaos of our political system
    • Aggression as you are faced with people who just don't "get it"
    • Rage at wounds in the collective surrounding violence and sexual assault
    • Feelings of helplessness, especially if you are a woman, LGBT, or non-white—anyone who has been marginalized.
    • Compassion for all those who have been victimized, including yourself
    • The battle cry of "no more"

All of this fierce aggression is helping you to:
    • Stand up for what is whole, safe and love
    • Say "no more" to what is shattered, violent and dark

It's not the easiest full moon.

    Aries is the ram.
    Aries invites you to battle.
Being a Spiritual Warrior does not meaning hiding in a cave.
Aries asks us to step forward.

Here's a RITUAL: as you stand under the full moon in the next few days, close your eyes, breathe and ask the Universe for guidance. And then simply say "I say 'no more' to...." and then keep filling in the phrase until you find your truth.
