It is a beautiful new year.
A whole new page to turn.
And whether we’re making resolutions or un-resolutions, we can recognize one thing about 2018:
We are definitely going to fail.
We’re going to mess up.
We’re going to screw up,
We’re going to make mistakes.
We’re going to be brilliant in our ability to fail!
The thing is: We’re raised with the idea that failing is a mistake, or some kind of reflection of our worth.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
In essence, failure is growing.
Failure is the sign that we have stretched past a limit.
Failure is a sign that we are actively expanding.
Every day in our soul growth, we overreach ourselves: we fail, we fall. But this is not a bad thing!
Failure is a sign of a soul in expansion.
Fail, try, fall, try again. This is how we learn soul lessons.
It is a great thing to free yourself from the idea of failure as “bad” and simply to accept that failure means we are growing.
Especially as we start a new year.
