When we're young, we think that it matters what we wear, what we do, where we travel or what experiences we have.
But none of it really matters.
It's fun to wear cool clothes.
It's nice to have interesting work.
It's expanding to travel.
It's desirable to have experiences.
But what we seek from all of these outer aspects—even those we find useful and interesting—well, it's all just story.
Body, personality, belief, experience—these are not our essence.
They're our characteristics and our history.
But they're not us.
Souls are what we really are, and all that matters to souls is our direct connection with the Universe.
So the question is: how much of THAT have you had today?
But none of it really matters.
