    Getting enough summer.

    Picture
Have you had enough fun this summer?

That's a question to ask yourself right now.

Because there is still time, and it is definitely still worth it, to make space for those things you can only do in the summer months. Some of what I did (some multiple times) are:

    • Rode my bike at Minto Brown
    • Got veggies at the local farm stand
    • Watched the 60 sunsets of summer
    • Traveled to Whidbey Island
    • Day tripped to the Oregon Coast
    • Attended local outdoor concerts
    • Day tripped to Portland
    • Lifted weights at the gym
    • Recorded 66 new podcasts for you (more on that soon!)
    • Did my book tour: 12 events in 4 states plus a 40-show radio tour. Whoo hoo!

We all have responsibilities: work family, and things we need to get done.
The weather has been freakishly strange: hot, smoky, windy, rainy, depending on where you live.

But the question remains: have you gotten enough summer from your summer?
If you haven't, please make the time for at least one thing that your heart deeply wants to do.

We are not here to work or be busy every second.
Our soul purpose is to enjoy our lives.

    Coming out of the fog.

    Picture
One of the most challenging Mercury retrogrades we've had in long time has just ended.

You will probably feel like you are waking from a three-week-long dream—one of those dreams where you walk around lost in the fog, not knowing what direction you're headed. During this particular retrograde, even your handy compass didn't—the needle just spun, providing no direction at all.

Even those of you who are experts in spiritual intuition—who know how to check in on what's happening and how to keep yourself aligned with Flow—even you were feeling the hazy state of stuckness that we've all been in.

We have been stuck, and we have been struggling with exhaustion from the current world situation. The craziness, the hatred, and own sense of despair as good people who want to do the right thing in the right way.

All us has been processed in the collective—the you/me/us that is our One soul.

It can help to sense the current political mess as an abusive relationship.
It's crazy. It's demeaning. It's narcissitic. It never gets better.
After awhile in abusive relationships, you start to spot the patterns so clearly that you stop being scared or angry or enabling. You simply realize, you don't belong in that relationship any more.

It's boring. You have other things to do.
And so, you walk away. Opt out.
You turn your attention to other things.

You value yourself too much to stay there.

We are on the brink of  a collective shift that is doing the same thing—we are gathering our strength to step out from the fog, and to walk away from all the abuse.

This new energy—this new surge of courage is  something collective soul is going to do all at once. This could mean voting, but it's bigger than that. It's the macro—it's the political mess we're in. But it's also the micro—anything stuck or demeaning in your own personal life.

All of it's about to shift. The fog that we've been wandering around in, is about to be lifted.

Never underestimate the power of souls who are ready to move on.

    Following the intuitive path.

    Picture
There is a way to live that is different than the rational, left brain, way that society teaches us.

When we live from intuition—when we follow the intuitive path—we live from sensing, being aware of and paying attention to everything.

    Our markers are different.

Rational thought does have a place in this way of living, but it is only part of the story. We pay equal attention to emotion, feeling, deep knowing, direct knowing, signs, synchronicities and Divine guidance.

I have been teaching the methodology of spiritual intution since 2008, and practicing since 2000. When you first begin to live this way, and to apply these methods to your own life, it can be scary—like leaping off a cliff without seeing any kind of net below!

But as you begin to notice what happens—you see that living in this way actually creates better results than the old methods. And as you keep following the intuitive path, and you find the easier it gets.

It's a really confusing time in the world right now, so if you're feeling stuck or uncertain, it's okay. We are evolving pretty quickly at the moment, and growing pains are real.

    Navigating the wasteland.

    Picture
In the past two weeks, we've been through a Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius that brought visionary change, and a Solar Eclipse in Leo that came in roaring.

Now, we're navigating a final wasteland of planets in retrograde—and this is a hard slog through the desert.

Do you remember the scene in Lawrence of Arabia where Peter O'Toole wanders in the desert, and it's all sand and scorching sun, and the wind is blowing so fiercely that he's lost, utterly lost?

You might be feeling like this for the next few weeks.

    Key words  are:
    • blocked
    • thwarted
    • stuck
    • falling away
    • lost
    • loss
    • grief
    • letting go
    • surrender

In this wasteland of the next few weeks:
Many of your ego identities are releasing at once.
The things you enjoyed are no longer enjoyable.
The goals you had aren't interesting any more.
The places you used to go don't exist or are blocked
The people you used to know are MIA.
Core relationships are dry and parched.

Part of the process of change is wandering in the desert. When everything falls apart, it often falls apart all at once. This does not mean our lives our over.

It means we are in the wasteland—a time of enormous cleansing and clearing.

It means we are shedding skins—identities, old ways— at a furious pace, and all we can do at the moment is wait in the hot sand until all the shedding is over.

If you are feeling confused, get curious:
    • What is leaving?
    • What is letting go?
    • What remains?
    • How are you shedding skins?
    • How are you becoming free?

    Surviving the LEO Solar Eclipse.

    Picture
We're in the midst of the Solar Eclipse in Leo, and the King of the Beasts expresses pretty clearly what we're  feeling now.

It's hot. We're cranky. We're our regal, ruling selves—and today, anything that walks by the wrong way is about to get pounced on, devoured, chomped—or at the very least roared on.

Today is the day of big shifts.
    Like, really big.
    It's a marker day.

It's the culmination of everything we've been through this year.
And it's the parallel, the mirror, the repeat of everything we went through in the 2017 Total Eclipse of the Sun, which was also in Leo.

So, how are you feeling? The people most affected will be people with major planets in Leo, it's opposite Aquarius, and all the fixed signs: Taurus and Scorpio, plus Leo and Aquarius again.

Fixed signs like things to stay the same.
Yet this solar eclipse is Leo is saying: nope. Not this time.
Everything is shifting, and it's never going to be the same.

This can be quite traumatic for fixed signs!

In this case, the best advice for today: be chill. Stay cool. Don't attack anyone or let anyone attack you. Just wait it out, even if the heat is on.

    Getting through retrogrades.

    Picture
Animals have an exquisite sense of how to live in rhythm with the seasons.

Here's my cat, Emrys, taking a breather on a big rock in a meadow filled with wildflowers

Emrys (which is another name for Merlin) isn't doing anything. He's just hanging out, enjoying the sun and the rock and the meadow, in this season we call summer.

Summer calls us to do nothing.
    To do No Thing.
To let go of "to dos" and instead just exist in the heat and light.

Now, as you know, we've been in retrograde for a while—but there is a huge energy coming for September. Some of you will start to feel this on the Solar Eclipse in Leo, August 11. There are BIG changes and MUCH energy for fall, starting soon.

    But now is not soon.
Now is the time to create with intention, what you will be doing in fall.
You're creating it with intention, now.
You're creating it with action, in the fall.

Don't confuse the two. Now is the time to hang out on your rock, and meditate and allow the Universe to show you the visions and messages of what is ahead, and to decide you are ready to FLOW with that.

    Do nothing now.
Wait for all the retrogrades to be over.
There will be plenty of activity soon.
