If you were living in consciousness
Without the world 
Simply as the vast spirit that you are,
But without the body, 
Without the mind/ego/personality, 
Without the continued rubbing of shoulders
With all the other souls 
Also living in bodies, 
Also living with mind/ego/personalities,
There would be no challenge.
There would be no learning,
There would be no evolution,
There would be no expansion. 
Soul lessons appear in all the ways
And forms that they will appear,
And most of them come into manifestation
In the physical world
Which is your earth experience. 
This life is invaluable 
For you as a soul.

You have been here millions of times before
In all incarnations and you have seen it all. 
In contrast, your mind/ego/personality
Arrives with you in this life
It is the filter, the lens, the costume
That you put on as ways of navigating this life. 
And of course, your body also arrives 
With you in the lifetime
Loyal and dear companion 
From birth to death
Changing in every moment 
As you move through the passage 
Of linear time, 
Also an illusion, but agreed upon,
And so, this is how it is for Now. 
The idea is that your soul knows
Whereas your mind/ego/personality does not know
And your body is there holding the form, 
Keeping the score, 
Being a container for everything.

One of the secrets, 
One of the keys
One of the miracles
Is to let go of control. 
Or rather, to let go of the illusion of control. 
How can you as one soul
That is part of collective soul
That is part of Oneness, 
How can you rule the tides
Or the waves in the ocean
Or the tsunami even now building
In the depths of the ocean floor?
How can you rule the winds that 
Are gathering force even now? 
You cannot control, 
But you may certainly contribute. 
This is how all change happens. 

If there is no argument, 
There is harmony, which is stasis. 
If there is argument, there is 
Irritation, there is conflict and
Eventually, there is growth. 
Appreciate what conflict brings.
Notice it from all angles.
Stay in the conflict, 
With curiosity instead of anger. 
Let go of the idea that you 
Have the answers 
Or that you have it figured out 
Or that you are in control. 
Curiosity is a great friend
For souls on the path. 
Conflict is a way of learning
From another soul.
You can be angry, 
Or you can learn something.
What, indeed, will happen next? ​

A karmic crossing happens
When two souls meet on one road
And there is something that 
Must be resolved in this lifetime. 
The idea is to make progress
And to learn the soul lesson,
But progress is not a given. 
One or both souls may decide
To keep the karmic crossing static
And to wait until a future incarnation.
Just as you were hoping for freedom
The irritating soul shows up,
Or the lying soul or the needy soul,
And there you are with rocks on your path,
Wondering what to do this time. 
We say: the path continues 
To become more challenging 
Even as you become more free. 
This is not a problem.

When you start to climb the mountain
To expansion, what you first might 
Notice is a sense of relief
That you are leaving the old ways, 
The old restrictions behind. 
You are becoming free! 
And this will continue for a while
But it will not continue this way forever. 
As you keep going and learning
The path becomes steeper,
Even as you are met 
By various other souls who you have 
Karma with from other lifetimes.
As you meet them on the path, 
You can determine how it is you 
Will go forward this time.
