What is your relationship to your body? Do you have shame about your body or wish it were different? Do you long for the body you used to have, or wish for the body you hope to create in the future? Do you feel your body is not really you?
The thing is: this body you’re in? You’re not separate from it.
It’s been given to you as very efficient way to learn soul lessons, and what’s more: you chose this body, when you entered in as a soul.
If your body is thin, you are likely learning lessons associated with thinness, such as fitness, attractiveness, detachment, starvation, weakness. If your body is fat, you are likely learning lessons associated with fatness, such as sloth, power, discomfort, protection, gluttony, shame. If your body changes a lot in your lifetime, you will learn to let go of many identities.
Regardless of how you feel about your body: you can’t be separate from it until you die. You can change it with diet and exercise, or it may change on its own from age or illness. But you can’t crawl out of it. You can’t separate yourself from it. The only way out of your body is death.
As long as you’re living… you might as well make peace with this body that you’re in.
