I too feel the oneness with plants, especially trees. I was drawn to my current home, for several reasons, one was because of all the beautiful Eucalyptus trees. I loved these trees and would literally hug the ones growing on my property. There beauty was breathtaking. I loved them so for all of the life that they supported and the energy from them that flowed over my heart. It was a mutual love affair of the gentlest kind. Then one day, a blind, very base and unaware, majority property owner, with a corporate mentality decided to cut down most of trees. I was devastated to say the least. I could feel the sorrow of the trees and the sad displacement of all the creatures that called the trees their home. It was awful. My soul wept, it felt like silent screaming. All of life in the immediate area was disrupted because of one person's blind decision, based on money and greed. My heart broke and my spirit raged against the "evil empire"....A few of the original beauties remain and this person did plant some other trees......but they never felt or witnessed the destruction of life. Yes - I feel the plant life.....I can fall into the beauty of a red Begonia flower and sense the divinity of the Cosmos.... I feel the joy of faeries when I take in the fragrance of a rose and delight in the hummingbirds as they buzz around my head.
Thank you, Kim. I had a very similar experience when I drove past a very familiar street populated by probably 70 mature oak, and they were being chopped down. It was a feeling of screaming by the entire energy field. I do not understand how a developer or any person could look at trees as an object, instead of seeing them as actual living beings. It does not make sense to me; it is so obvious that trees are living beings. Hopefully, Gaia will continue as Gaia has, and humans will over time become more conscious.
Pam Montgomery and others teach plant communication. Yup, you could talk to them too, dream with them, journey to them etc. Plants as you say are no different than animals they can communicate if you choose to listen, which you do. I have walked down this road myself and had to come to the place that currently there is not way for me to live without this energy exchange be it plant or animal. I try to remember to give thanks and prayers.
Thank you Diana. Yes, Tess Whitehurst is another colleague who teaches about flowers and trees. Very good idea. I live amongst many trees of all kinds, and I am consistently and continuously aware of their energy and there vibration; it is two-way communication, the same was as with a person or animal, as you say.
If people, in mass, could feel the level of compassion and connection for one another that many of us feel for plants and other species of animals, I can only begin to imagine the pathways of justice and love that would open to us, the environment and all species. I appreciated this post and the comments shared.
Thank you, T. Even if people, in mass, could be in the supportive and communal vibration that trees hold with each other—this great understanding of one being of One—we would all be doing so much better.
Maybe plants, on their own unique level, feel so very happy that they can nourish our bodies as they are meant to do. Our place is to nourish them by watering and providing enough sunlight and theirs is to nourish our bodies - the cycle of oneness.
Some people feel that. If that were the case, plants would be so much more conscious than we are, wouldn't they? So much more in tune with Oneness, and the interconnection of all things.
