How can we shield from dark energies or dark spirits? Or even, how can we adjust our vibration to match that of another person, as you mention in your book, Becoming Your Best Self? —N.C.
It’s easiest if you think of vibration as a color. Usually, these colors show up as the chakra colors. Going from lowest to highest vibration, that would be: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white.
It’s not that energy actually vibrates in “color”. It’s just that color is an easy, symbolic way for us to think about how energy vibrates. It’s a simple tool for us to use. Other ways to think about energy are as texture, or by description, such as: sticky, dense, confused, chaotic, soothing, etc.
If you a meet a person who’s really cranky, it’s likely that person is vibrating a really low vibration—in terms of color, this might be black, or dark brown, or red, or orange. What can be useful, if you run in to a person like this, is to attempt to match frequency, even if that means lower your own frequency slightly.
For example, if you meet a person who vibrates at red, you might switch out of your normal airy and etheric blue vibration, and move down one level, to the vibration of green—which coincidentally is the color of the heart chakra.
You wouldn’t go down further; you wouldn’t take on their yucky energy. But sometimes, getting a little more “grounded” yourself in earth energy, helps you relate to a person or energy that is troublesome.
Now, of course if the energy is really dark, toxic, has the sense or smell of ash, cigarette, you get really as sense of violence, insanity—you’re going to want to get yourself away, and go into the highest vibration you can, which is white.
This is where the idea of “surround yourself with white light” comes in.
But for normal day-to-day encounters with people, either matching vibration, or lowering yours just a little, can be very helpful.
You might find my course Become a Spiritual Psychic a good place to work on these ideas.
