I have been wanting to write you every since I first saw your website several years ago.....and just never sat down to do it. I had four life changing experiences over a 1.5 year period 7+ years ago (my father passed, I lost my job, I was sexually assaulted by a childhood friend of my son's in my home, and my husband had to have emergency quadruple bypass surgery).
One day (7 years ago) I was awakened by a voice very early in the morning urging me to get up, get dressed and get to the hospital to visit my husband who was admitted again with high blood pressure after his open heart surgery the week before. I have never had an experience like this before.....or since. The woman talking to me was very persistent but also personable. I had no choice but to listen to her. I got dressed and drove to the hospital very concerned that there was something wrong. I walked into my husband's hospital room at 6:30 AM. When I opened the door and walked in, my husband's face lit up and he was very surprised and happy to see me. There was nothing wrong. He has never been one to show his emotions and consequently, I didn't feel a real connection with him because of it.
What came to mind when I walked in the door was that when my Father died, I looked at my husband crying and said.....nobody is going to light up when I walk in the room now. I believe this guide was trying to show me that my husband would light up if I gave him a reason to....doing something out of the ordinary just for him. I shed many tears that day.
She remained with me all day. Every question I had, she answered. It was a wonderful experience and one that I wish I had journaled so I could remember every detail. After leaving the hospital, I stopped at McDonald's drive through and got a coffee. I was sitting there drinking it and asked her what her name was....and she replied "Sara." I wondered if I really heard that or if I imagined it.....so I asked her to give me a sign. Within minutes a beat up Mercedes drove up the hill with a big wooden billboard attached upside down on the top of the car that read "Sara's Pizza and Hoagies" and the phone number. I was in shock.
Since that time (7 years ago), I have been drawn to the name Sara....hence my writing to you. I subscribed to your podcasts and ordered your book for my Nook.
I am drawn to this work and believe it wholeheartedly because of this experience. I am wondering what the meaning of all of this is....and what I am supposed to be doing in this second half of my life. I will be turning 60 this month.
I would appreciate any insights you may have. Hugs — Cassandra
Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience with us. It is true that the Divine is always with us. Some people, such as yourself, have been blessed to spend time guides and angelic beings who show up in very palpable form—they appear nearly human, even though they are not.
It is an experience to treasure your entire life.
You will also notice that your guide, "Sara" had a wonderful sense of humor—an old battered Mercedes with an UPSIDE DOWN sign... I'm sure you would not find "Sara's Pizza and Hoagies" in any phone book or list anywhere in that city!
I would invite you to begin to expand your understanding, such as with my course Be a Divine Conduit for Your Guides & Angels. I find that when people have already had these amazing experiences, it is very simple for them to become advanced in spiritual intuition practices very quickly.
